28. Lucinda Silvia BURT was born on 19 Jan 1859 in Linden, Argentine Township, Genesee County, Michigan/USA. She died on 16 Dec 1943 in West Branch, Ogemaw County, Michigan/USA. She was buried in Selkirk Cemetery, Selkirk, Churchill Township, Ogemaw County, Michigan. Lucinda "Sin" taught the "Red" School in Ogemaw County. She was the Township Clerk of Churchill Township, Ogemaw County in 1905. I still have her oak roll top desk that she used as Clerk.

PARLIAMENT was born on 27 Nov 1850 in Consecon Village, Ameliasburgh Township,
Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. He died on 25 May 1934 in West Branch,
Ogemaw County, Michigan/USA. Died of Valvular heart disease and senility. Grampa
died of heart failure 11 days after Donna May had her baby. He was buried in
Selkirk Cemetery, Selkirk, Churchill Township, Ogemaw County, Michigan. Joe
Parliament came to Ogemaw Co. Michigan, in 1878 from Sophiasburgh Township.,
Prince Edward Co., Ontario Canada with his six brothers. He was a small man about
5 feet tall and took a job as a cook in the lumber camps in the winter and river
drive in the spring. He bought 40 acres of cleared land next to another 40 acres
owned by Lucinda Burt whom he later married. Then they together owned 80 acres.
Joe developed a very profitable farm out of this wilderness. His pastimes were
hunting and fishing. In 1918 they sold the farm at a profit and moved to West
Branch. They bought a house and banked the rest of the money. The bank eventually
closed and they lost all their money. Joe then took a job as a street repairman.
